July 20, 2013 English Makes Sense Conversation Café

Thank you to all who attended the Conversation Café today.  I apologize for the technical problem which caused my computer die just as I was wrapping up.

I did a lot of talking today because I had to introduce information regarding the "English Makes Sense workBook" and I also needed to demonstrate the Conversation Café format (where we stop at certain points in the conversation to note new vocabulary).

After today, there will be 2 more Conversation Café sessions available at no cost (August 10 & August 17).

Beginning in September, it will cost 3.50€ to attend each Conversation Café.  At that time, each month there will be two Conversation Cafés (7.00€/month).   The first session will occur at the beginning of each month.  During this first session, you will receive and discuss the "Topic of the Month" and you will receive the "Activities of the Month".

Beginning in September, the second Conversation Café will take place at the end of the month.  During this second session, you will talk more in-depth about the Topic of the Month and you will present your Activities to the group.

During the month, you should share your thoughts, comments, and workBook pages with your Conversation Café friends.  Hopefully, you can do this using social media; for example, this website, Facebook, Twitter, or Skype.  I hope you will try using social media this month to communicate and let us know your thoughts about LEARNING and CHANCES OF SUCCESS which were the topics of today's Café.
